Brno DNA - Dress Shadow - Size: M

Brno – DNA is who you are, where you are from.  This textile tells the story of who you are.  How does nature code our genes?  Nature weaves the beautiful double helix of genes in each of our cells. 

This textile weaves the story of the two string revolutions of Moravia - of textiles and of genetics.  The textile is made of pure, natural merino wool in the the shape of 23 double helixes. 

One string is in a different colour which distinguises sex.  Its length is roughly the length of the genetic threads we have in each of our cells.  It shows how good a weaver nature is, and how complex we are. This textile tells the story of who we are.
