Brno Lilly

Brno – Lilly is the courage for colour.  Lilly Reich built the Tugendhat Villa in Brno with Mies van der Rohe.  She provided the textiles and the colour.  This textile is based on the red lounge chair.  Reproductions are too bright, they „wear too much lipstick“. Brno-Lilly brings out the reds and oranges seen in the original photos, in the play of the two sided textile.

Lilly Reich says „One must have courage for colour“.  Clothes should „grow together with the woman, give a picture of her spirit, enhance the expression of her soul and the feeling of life“.  Brno-Lilly gives you the courage for colour and the spirit of Lilly Reich.
